| Improved diet and exercise | Working with my doctor and a dietitian, we’ve lowered my HGBA1C from 7.9 to 5.9 in the last seven months. A large part of that is exercising every day (I’m a huge fan of walking) and modifying my diet. My daily diet targets are 3 meals a day with a max of 60 carbs per meal and 3 snacks a day with a max of 15 carbs per snack. I try to keep my total fat intake to 40 grams per day. |
| don moore | a meeting with a dietitian as soon as possible is very beneficial especially for those recently diagnosed with diabetes. An on going dialogue with your doctor and a dietitian is mandatory for s successful treatment. Never, ever lose hope for improvement of your situation! |
